Being from Chengdu, China, I am seeking to increase my experience and change the communication and media industries through my culture and knowledge.My name is Ting Lu and I am currently studying mass communication at San Jose State University. Here at SJSU, I have expanded my abillity to communicate through its curriculum, on-campus, and off-campus opportunities. In addition, I have four years of journalism experience under my belt, working at several news bureaus in China, gaining experience, writing both news and editorials as well as copy editing.

I am proficient with Adobe programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. For social media experience, I worked as a news director for Sichuan TV in 2011 and a news editor for Sichuan Daily News Group in 2012. My experience taught me content management, website design, newsletter creation and design, and Chinese-to-English translation. I am also quite proficient with social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WeChat and Weibo.

Besides my studies in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications, I run, paint, travel and read.
