Under no circumstance can we ignore the importance of storytelling too much, especially when I read Michael Brito's book---YOUR BRAND, THE NEXT MEDIA COMPANY. In chapter 7, it focus on the storytelling and content narrative makes me to think about how to be an excellent person to tell your brand story.
1. Position: you need to find your own position and be "unique" about your product or service.
2. Understanding: it is important to understand what your customers are saying and know what they want.
3. Interests: you need to know what your customers need and attract their interests to your product.
4. Experiences: we always say that experiences leave lasting impressions. Thus, you should think that you will find some examples that resonate with your experience and lead you to thoughtful consideration.
5. Direction: make your story can reach your goal and have a intended direction.
Your content narrative should translate the core tenets of your brand into a story that demonstrates how your business relates to its consumers.
What's more, I watched the TED talk ---The Mystery of Storytelling on YouTube and wanted to share it. This guy brings up some seriously good points, such as we have to be able to relate to consumers, action (visuals) speak louder than words, storytelling has been a part of human society for thousands of years, perhaps even since our creation/evolution.
