"Unfortunately, it's not like you can turn on the 'media company' button and change operations and behavior overnight. It requires a change in attitude, behavior, and thinking, coupled with processes and governance models."

That is what I read from Brito's book about Social Business Center of Excellence. There is no doubt that Tesla is a media company and at a time when storytelling in business is all the rage, Twitter allows CEOs like Musk to play the role of an accessible, engaged, transparent brand narrator. They know how to use the social media platforms as a leadership tool, especially Elon Musk. It turns out that social media can actually be leveraged as a tool for better leadership.

Thus, what is the Social Business Center of Excellence(CoE)? A COE is a steering committee that develops the social media policies and processes that will guide your social implementation. It's like a content and editorial team both internally and externally.

CoE provide great value to all organizations, especially larger one, it seems like they have multiple lines of business and digital initiatives.

Now, most organizations are still thinking and expanding about how they should organize for social media. And also, the CoE seems like to be the model leader at this moment.

According to the past blogs, I still want to share some interesting video that can easily help people know more about CoE. Today, I want to share IBM Social Business for Operational Excellence---Helle Valentin, Chief Operating Officer for IBM Germany, Austria and Switzerland explains why Social Tools are highly important for Operational Excellence.
