My undergraduate major in China was JOURNALISM, so I am so curious when I saw "brand journalism" in Michael Brito's book (chapter 4). Different from the traditional journalism, brand journalism can make readers know more about what they want by telling journalism-style stories. They are in the "journalism" style, not like advertising or other publishes.
Brand journalism is much more than employees tweeting or sharing company news on Facebook. It's about finding good stories about the brand, its products, or employees and using long-form content to tell a story.
These are what I read in Brito's book about brand journalism. It is true that brand journalist can behalf of a company by using journalism-style storytelling. Any companies has lots of chances to communicate to their customers directly by using blogs, websites, or any social medias in journalism-style storytelling.
So, how can we be an excellent brand journalist? The basic skills we need to have are: right training and know how to tell stories.

In my opinion, all the brand journalists want to earn and keep their audience's attention. They need to write their company's stories and show them to their own audience to make sure they are interested in them.
Thus, what is Brand Journalism?
After reading that book, I think it is not like the traditional journalism, it is evolving into creation about content by using journalistic styles and skills. It can behalf of a brand.
